Six days across the causeway. Singapore first for the gardens and the zoo, then Kuala Lumpur for the caves, the towers and food that costs a fifth as much. It's the most family-proof itinerary we sell — everything is air-conditioned and nothing is far.

What you'll remember

  • Gardens by the Bay and the Cloud Forest dome
  • Singapore Night Safari, on the tram and then on foot
  • Batu Caves' 272 steps and the Thaipusam shrine
  • Jalan Alor at night, eaten street by street

The route

  1. Colombo
  2. Singapore
  3. Malacca
  4. Kuala Lumpur

Day by day

What actually happens.

  1. Direct from Colombo, under four hours. Jewel at Changi before you even leave the airport, then Marina Bay after dark for the Spectra light show.

Included

  • Return flights from Colombo, direct both ways
  • Five nights across both cities with breakfast
  • Cross-border coach transfer with the Malacca stop
  • Gardens by the Bay, Night Safari and Petronas skybridge tickets
  • Visa assistance for both countries

Not included

  • Universal Studios entry
  • Most meals
  • Airport departure taxes

When to go

Year-round destinations, but February to August is driest. November to January brings the north-east monsoon and afternoon downpours — brief, heavy, and everything indoors carries on regardless.
