- Longtail boat through the Thonburi khlongs

The route
Day by day
What actually happens.
Direct from Colombo, three and a half hours. Airport rail into town, and an evening on the river — the Chao Phraya express boat is the best value transport in Asia.
Included
- Return flights from Colombo plus the Bangkok–Phuket domestic leg
- Five nights with breakfast
- Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun with a guide
- Phang Nga and Phi Phi boat days with lunch
- Visa assistance and travel insurance
Not included
- Most meals
- National park fees on the boat days
- Optional spa
When to go
November to March is the cool dry season and the Andaman is flat. From May to October the south-west monsoon closes island boats at short notice — if you must travel then we move you to the Gulf side instead, where the season is reversed.
